Welcome to Hail Taxi – the app that helps you quickly and easily hail a black cab using your mobile device. By downloading, accessing, or using the Hail Taxi app (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

  • Hail Taxi is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

  • You may use the App solely to assist with visually signaling a taxi.

  • You agree not to use the App in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or causes disruption to others or to public safety.

2. Customization & In-App Purchases

  • The App offers optional customization features available through in-app purchases.

  • All purchases are processed securely via the Apple App Store and or Google Play Store.

  • Purchased features are tied to your Apple ID and/or Google Account and may be restored on compatible devices.

3. Safety Disclaimer

  • Do not use the app while driving or crossing streets.

  • The app is designed to enhance visibility but does not guarantee a taxi will stop.

  • Always remain aware of your surroundings when using your device in public.

4. Intellectual Property

All content and features within the app—including logos, text, and graphics—are the property of Hail Taxi! and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the app without prior written consent.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Your Business Name] shall not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use (or inability to use) the app, including any indirect or incidental damages.

1. What is Hail Taxi? Hail Taxi is a mobile app that turns your phone into a bright, illuminated sign to help you quickly and easily flag down a black cab—especially in busy or low-visibility areas.

2. How does the app work? Open the app and tap to activate a high-visibility message that displays “HAIL TAXI!” Simply hold up your phone so taxi drivers can see it—no more waving or shouting!

3. Is the app available in my city? Hail Taxi can be used anywhere taxis operate, including major cities like London, New York, and more. It doesn’t depend on GPS or local transport networks.

4. Do I need to create an account? No account is required. Just download the app and you’re good to go!

5. Are there any in-app purchases? Yes, optional customization features—like changing the message text, color, or brightness—are available as paid upgrades. Basic functionality is free but limited

6. Will this guarantee a taxi will stop? While the app increases your visibility and helps taxis see you more clearly, it does not guarantee a driver will stop. Use in a safe location where taxis are allowed to pull over.

7. Can I use the app while walking or driving? We strongly advise against using the app while walking into traffic or driving. Always stay aware of your surroundings and prioritise safety when using the app.

8. Is my data collected or shared? We collect minimal data, and only what’s necessary to run the app and process optional purchases. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. I made a purchase, but it didn’t unlock. What do I do? Try tapping “Restore Purchases” within the app settings. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support team at hailtaxiuk@gmail.com
