Refund Policy

How to Request a Refund

If you purchased a customisation feature and believe you are eligible for a refund (e.g., due to a technical issue or accidental purchase), you can request a refund directly from Apple:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com

  2. Sign in with your Apple ID

  3. Find the Hail Taxi purchase you’d like to refund

  4. Choose “Report a Problem” and select the appropriate reason

  5. Submit your request to Apple

Apple will review your request and issue a refund if it meets their refund policy.

Important Notes

  • Hail Taxi does not have access to your payment or billing information, and cannot issue refunds directly.

  • All refund decisions are made by Apple, per their terms and conditions.

  • If you experience any issues with a purchased feature (e.g., it didn’t unlock), please try using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app or contact us at hailtaxiuk@gmail.com.

1. What is Hail Taxi? Hail Taxi is a mobile app that turns your phone into a bright, illuminated sign to help you quickly and easily flag down a black cab—especially in busy or low-visibility areas.

2. How does the app work? Open the app and tap to activate a high-visibility message that displays “HAIL TAXI!” Simply hold up your phone so taxi drivers can see it—no more waving or shouting!

3. Is the app available in my city? Hail Taxi can be used anywhere taxis operate, including major cities like London, New York, and more. It doesn’t depend on GPS or local transport networks.

4. Do I need to create an account? No account is required. Just download the app and you’re good to go!

5. Are there any in-app purchases? Yes, optional customization features—like changing the message text, color, or brightness—are available as paid upgrades. Basic functionality is free but limited

6. Will this guarantee a taxi will stop? While the app increases your visibility and helps taxis see you more clearly, it does not guarantee a driver will stop. Use in a safe location where taxis are allowed to pull over.

7. Can I use the app while walking or driving? We strongly advise against using the app while walking into traffic or driving. Always stay aware of your surroundings and prioritise safety when using the app.

8. Is my data collected or shared? We collect minimal data, and only what’s necessary to run the app and process optional purchases. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. I made a purchase, but it didn’t unlock. What do I do? Try tapping “Restore Purchases” within the app settings. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support team at hailtaxiuk@gmail.com
